Five Tips for Fundraising Success
- Use as many different communication mechanisms
as possible to communicate the initiative to your
friends, family and supporters. This might include
email, direct mail, inclusion in your newsletter and
a telemarketing campaign. Of course there are also
brochures and posters in your kit and don’t be afraid
to order more when you need them.
- Consider appointing a committee of people within
your club to champion the program. If four people can
help spread the word, the chances of success are far
higher than if it’s relying on the efforts of one person.
- Encourage your fundraising committee to add a
mention of the program into their email signatures.
For example, ‘Shop online at www.cashforacause.
com.au and ten percent of your purchase will
be donated to our club to help with much
needed fundraising.
- Remind people how easy it is!
- When you receive your first cheque, ensure to
announce it to your database or contact your local
newspaper to get some free community advertising.
